Intelligent Design[edit]
Stein's dishonest anti-science propaganda film is being whitewashed here. "True" is not a sufficient condition for what we write here. --Hob Gadling (talk) 23:23, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
ID is not an "alternative scientific theory" although it is formulated to be presented as such (a hallmark of pseudoscience). The main article has plenty of relevant sources about this and the history of the movement, that are likely unnecessary to repeat here. —PaleoNeonate – 10:08, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
As he has his JD he should be identified as DR Ben Stein[edit]
Dr Ben Stein. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.104.74.63 (talk) 04:03, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- While I understand the point, a JD is the basic law degree in the United States, and lawyers are not commonly addressed as “Dr.” Moreover, that is not the way that this subject is commonly known. Just the way I see things! Cheers. Dumuzid (talk) 04:34, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- Also, see MOS:CREDENTIAL.
- You did not by any chance intend to use this to lend credence to his crazy ideas about biology, by only mentioning the "Dr." but not the "law" part, making people think, "ooo, he is a doctor! So he probably knows what he is talking about"? I have seen the phrase "Professor Phillip E. Johnson" used this way. --Hob Gadling (talk) 08:40, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
